So, what is EPC?
EPC stands for 'Energy Performance Certificate' and is required when a property is built, sold or rented. If you are planning on selling or renting out your property, you should have an EPC survey done for potential clients before it goes on the market.
An EPC gives a property a rating from category A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) depending on energy efficiency. To comply with current regulations, all private rental properties will need to achieve a level E or above. If the property has an F or G rating, you may not be able to rent it out.
The results of the EPC survey will inform potential owners and occupiers how to make their home more energy efficient and also help to compare to different properties.
The energy performance certificate I provide is compliant and eligible with regulations for both the rental or sale of a property.
An EPC is then valid on that property for ten years from the date of completion.

This survey on average should take around 40 minutes. Once it is complete and I am satisfied I have all the information I require, I aim to register the certificate within 48 hours of survey completion. You will then receive an email with a link to your Energy Performance Certificate on the official EPC register. Your EPC will then be valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
